"Faith cometh by hearing..." -- Romans 10:17
A friend of mine, who battled malignant melanoma and won, once shared with me the advice that saved her life.
The moment she was diagnosed her friend who worked in the dermatologist's office told her "What you have is bad. But don't research it. Don't google it or go to Web MD. Just know it's gonna be hard, but you can beat this."
That's what I want to tell you today. Don't look at the statistics. Don't look to other people's experiences. Look to the Word of God for the outcome of your circumstances.
My friend later told me she believed her friend's advice that day saved her life. If she had looked at the pictures online or read the statistics, she would have put her faith in the cancer's ability to kill her. She stayed ignorant for her own good.
Faith comes by hearing. Whatever you listen to is what your spirit will grab onto and work to bring to pass, even to your own destruction. This is why Jesus constantly warned against unbelief. Unbelief isn't non-belief, that is belief in nothing. Rather, it's a belief in the opposite of God's will.
If you fill your mind with words that oppose what God says about you, your spirit has no choice than to seize those words and bring them to pass because faith comes by hearing.
Your circumstances are irrelevant. God's promises are the same as they ever were. His steadfast love hasn't changed. He is all good, all loving, all powerful, and everywhere present. He wants to work in your behalf. But you must fill yourself with the truth that God is love and only wants to bless you, rather than filling your mind with statistics and words that oppose what God wants to do in your life.
