You were created in the image and likeness of God himself. You have the same beauty and power inside of you that is inside of him. Despite the fact that God is all loving and wholly good, there are some who return evil for his goodness.
The same will be true in your life. No matter how good and holy you present yourself, there will be those who slander and lie about you. Some will take your name in vain and spread untruths about you. How should you respond?
How does the Almighty respond to blasphemy? When angry people take his name in vain or spread lies about his character? He laughs.
God laughs at this enemies' attempts to dethrone him. He laughs at their plans to assault his majesty. The same should be true of you. You are spiritual royalty. You must laugh at the ones who try to dethrone you. Never retaliate. Never be moved. Just laugh.
Your flesh, that is your ego, will want to cry. It will want to scream. It will want to hurt them back. But your spirit will laugh. So you must laugh.
Look at the plan that has been devised against you and hilariously laugh at its ridiculousness. Throw your head back and audibly laugh when you hear rumors about yourself.
Laugh like a child laughs at a clown. Laugh at the absurdity of the meager attempts to hurt you.
Be like God and laugh it off.
