Silent Proof

"Consider the lilies of the field." -- Jesus Christ

Sometimes I write with the assumption that everyone reading believes in the existence of God. And I often reference the teachings of Jesus Christ.

However, there are many sincere, intelligent, loving people who are not Christians or do not believe in God. If that is you, I want to help you to open your heart to the possibility that God might really exist. And if He does, then He loves you and created you to experience love, joy, and peace in your everyday life.

Today, I am asking you to consider the beauty of a flower. That's all. I'm not asking you to read the Bible, or get on your knees to pray, or go to church. Just contemplate the beauty of a lily or a rose.

I believe the beauty of a simple flower testifies to the existence of a loving God.

If the earth's history is nothing more than a cosmic mishap thrown together by the survival of the fittest, then where did flowers come from? They are weak. They are fragile. Yet, they exist.

The existence of beauty is silent proof there is a God and that He created us to share His joy with Him.

"Beauty is truth, truth beauty. That is all ye know on Earth, and all ye need to know." -- John Keats
